Maths Resources


·         Revision of addition tables to +12 (Google ‘addition tables’ online)

·         Revision of subtraction tables to -9. Continue on to -12 (Google ‘subtraction tables’ online)

·         Play ‘Tables Champion’ daily with your child.

·         Money: Practice counting and adding coins

·         Time: Be able to recognise and read ‘o’clock’ and ‘half past’ on a clock; go back over days of the week (days before and after a given day); months of the year and seasons.

·         3D shapes: cube, cuboid, cylinder and sphere. Identify these shapes in your home.

·         100 square activities: Google image a ‘100 square’. Ask your child the number before/after/inbetween, above and below given numbers. (If you can print out a blank 100 square, get your child to fill it in!)

·         Simple addition sums (always add the units first!)

·         Skip counting in 2,’s, 3’s, 4’s, 5’s and 10’s     e.g. 3, 6, 9, 12, etc.

·         Playing games such as ‘Monopoly’, ‘Connect Four’, ‘Snakes and Ladders’ etc. are fun and will incorporate maths operations.

·         Teach your child some card games.
