60 minutes of Physical Activity per day!

It's recommended that every child gets 60 minutes of physical activity every day! 

In order to achieve this, every class in Scoil Lorcáin participates in different initiatives throughout the school day! These include our 'Drop Everything and Run' Initiative, our 'Drop Everything and Dance' Initiative, 'Wake up and Shake up', '10@10' and 'Walk on Wednesdays' just to name a few. These initiatives have been proven to give the children more energy throughout the day and to encourage the less active children to enjoy physical activity more!
Along with these fantastic active initiatives, every teacher is encouraged to use active websites such a 'Go Noodle' or 'Cosmic Yoga' to transition between lessons. 
Every minute counts when trying to hit the 60 minute goal!
